Got Headers? Precision 6265 Comparison & 5th Gen Camaro TTiX?
I finally pulled away from the phone and store front, to post up a few shop projects that we’ve tackled in the past couple of months. Like every winter, George and Bob spent endless hours building the next level in race headers. Below are a few pictures of what they accomplished. Whether its a street rod or a full blown race car these headers are always a one of kind creation that’s proven to pick up some extra horsepower to give you that edge on the rest of the racers.
I forgot to mention that we also build custom exhaust and headers for things besides race cars and street cars too! Check out this complete header and exhaust system on this Jeep for example. This Jeep is used for barrel racing (yes, like they do with horses but with Jeeps instead). This header and exhaust system was made out of 304 16 gauge (.065″) stainless steel and used a pair of stainless steel merge collectors with glass packs and turn downs to add that extra rumble that gets these enthusiasts on their heels!
First picture is a BEFORE shot of what was originally on the Jeep.
This is a Willys powered by a Big Block Chevrolet and a blower. These headers were made out of 304 18 gauge (.049″) stainless steel and were mated up a Borla mufflers. Bob altered the fenders for a smooth fender exit design.
You typically save the best for last right? Here’s a ‘67 Camaro that belongs to Mike and Yvonne Lucas out of NHRA Division 6 (Top Sportsman). These headers turned out unbelievable. These beauties are built out of 18 gauge (.049″) 304 stainless steel with custom specified merge collectors to squeeze every ounce of power outta that 4 staged N2O big block.
Speed Inc out of Schaumburg, IL had a chance to compare the Precision turbochargers (6265s) versus the Turbonetics turbochargers that we use on our Corvette systems. The only thing changed on each of the dyno runs were the turbochargers. From the information that Speed Inc gave me this is an “apples to apples” comparison in products here. The green line are the Precision units and the blue line represents the Turbonetics units.

We finally got our hands on a 5th gen Camaro. Were developing a twin turbo system for it as we speak. If I told you all the details, I’d have to shoot you
. We just about have the first system finished and hope to hit the dyno soon. Once the system is completely finished, I’ll post pictures, dyno graphs, information, pricing, etc as soon as possible. All this information will be listed in our forum so be sure to register and check back.
Other than that racing is right around the corner, are YOU ready yet? I know I’m not! See ya at the track or on the phone, email, forums, etc
